BeamCalc is a streamlined beam analysis tool developed by CED-UET-Lahore to help civil and structural engineers, educators, and students perform quick, reliable calculations. Using classical beam theory, it evaluates prismatic beams under common loading and support conditions, making it ideal for coursework, teaching, and preliminary design checks.

Key features:

  • Analyze common supports: simply supported, cantilever, fixed-fixed, and overhang configurations
  • Apply typical loads: point loads, uniformly distributed loads (UDL), and linearly varying loads; combine multiple loads on a single span
  • Compute reactions, shear force, bending moment, slope, and deflection
  • Generate shear force, bending moment, and deflection diagrams for clear visualization
  • Define material and section properties (E and I) with support for SI and US customary units
  • View organized results with intermediate values where applicable
  • Save and revisit models to streamline iterative work

Who it’s for:

  • Students learning structural analysis and beam behavior
  • Instructors preparing examples and demonstrations
  • Practicing engineers needing rapid checks before detailed design

Note: BeamCalc is intended for educational use and preliminary analysis. Always verify results and apply relevant codes and safety factors for final design.

BeamCalc is developed by CED-UET-Lahore. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 1.0 and 1.2. The name of the program executable file is BeamCalc.exe.
